How to change your ringtone
Customize the sound your phone makes when someone calls you. Choose from built-in ringtones on iPhone or Android.
Step 1: Open Settings
Tap Settings on your home screen.
Step 2: Find the ringtone setting
On iPhone: Tap Sounds & Haptics, then tap Ringtone.
On Android: Tap Sound (or Sound & Vibration), then tap Phone ringtone.
Step 3: Choose a new ringtone
You’ll see a list of ringtone options. Tap any name to hear a preview. When you find one you like, it will be selected automatically (iPhone) or tap OK/Save (Android). Your new ringtone is now set.

Can I set different ringtones for different people?
Yes. Open a contact, tap Edit, and look for a Ringtone option. You can assign a unique sound to that person.
Can I use a song as my ringtone?
On Android, yes -- you can select audio files from your phone. On iPhone, you need to use iTunes or GarageBand to create a custom ringtone.
Why can't I hear my ringtone?
Check that your phone isn't on Silent mode (iPhone: flip the switch on the left side) and that your volume is turned up.
